Dowry: An Unsolved Problem

What Dowry Meant in Ancient India? According to dictionary, dowry is an amount of property or money brought by a bride to her husband on their marriage. In other words, it refers to the gifts given by parents to their daughters on the day of their marriage. Dowry existed in precolonial India but in those days its meaning and purpose were entirely different from today's dowry. In precolonial India dowry was not a practice. It was an institution managed by women in order to establish and prove their status in their parent's house. The institution of dowry was a way of giving a part of the wealth of parents to their daughters just like it is given to their sons. This proves that in ancient India dowry emerged as a process of providing equal rights to sons and daughters. Parents were not forced to give anything beyond their budget. All the gifts were given by their own will. Hence it can be concluded that dowry started as an institution in India which had very positive go

What Indians Think About ASIFA

A temple or devisthan is a place where people visit to beg for a healthy, happy, prosperous life. A temple is believed to be a pure place, a positive and safe environment, where our Supreme Powers i.e, our Gods and Goddesses live. They bless us with a happy life. This is what we used to think. But one incident changed everything. A child lost her life at this safe place. The death was not natural. It was a murder. This child was raped to death. Yes, she was a child, an eight year old innocent child, who probably knew nothing about the devils, the devils who lived in a devisthan, the devil who was the caretaker of a devisthan. Yes, she was totally unaware of that monster, disguised as a guard. Yes, I'm talking about ASIFA. That poor little girl, who was just eight years old, who spent only eight years in the paradise of Kashmir, wait, it was not a paradise. She might have thought of that place the most beautiful but it turned out to be the most ugly place for her. Sadly,

Mahakaali Can Do Anything, Jai Mahakaali

Dealing with double standards (part 1)... Hello everyone. I don't know about other countries but living in India we always come across many double standards. Be it family or friends. Double standards in India has become a deadly disease and needs to be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible otherwise it will finish the future of our country. So, today I have picked up Mahakaali and I will try to illustrate this mythological tale in an entirely different way so that I can help those who are suffering from double standards .  I'm pretty interested in all the mythological stories and I'm always curious to know more and more about them. So, I started watching Mahakaali and I went through all the episodes which have been released.  All episodes show a lot of supernatural powers. Mahakaali is seen flying in air, killing all evil people, throwing fire out of her mouth. All this looks very fancy and this is unbelievable for me. When I discussed it randomly with a few pe

Beta Hasna Allowed Nahi Hota !

Hello, it has been a long time since I have written anything. So, I'm back with a new and as usual real story. It's wedding season and so many weddings are there. I also attended my elder sister's wedding. She was looking stunning not only because she wore a stunning outfit but also because she was smiling and laughing all the time. She was happy and she wanted her pictures to have a smiling face and not a sad one in her wedding album. She was joyful, happy and gay buttt..... as always something has to happen because nothing can be so perfect. So, it happened. Somebody came and scolded her for showing too much teeth and for smiling for the camera. An elder came and told her "Jyada daat mat dikha shadi hai teri". She became upset because she is way too emotional and she takes everything to her heart. Her charming smile transformed into a sad face. We were wondering what happened, it's her day, she was so happy that she couldn't hide her smile. But sudden

Arre babaji nakli baal ki wig lga lene se koi SHIVPUTRA nahi ban jata. I wonder who are his followers?? Two minutes silence for those who follow SWAMI OM 😐. You-tubers are busy taking his interviews and uploading those interviews on their channel. Again two minutes silence for those who take Swamiji's interviews. Aaj kuch kaam nhi mila to socha ki Swami Om pe prakash daal du varna I'm not that free..... By the way, lets recall his actions one by one, these actions will prove whether he deserve this SWAMIJI title or not:  I saw his first stunt in BIGG BOSS when he collected his urine in a
